Safety first: Disconnect power before testing or replacing switches.

• Check door closure: Ensure the freezer door closes fully and evenly. Look for items inside blocking the door or shelves protruding.
• Inspect gasket: Examine the door gasket for tears, warping, or debris preventing full closure. Clean the gasket with warm soapy water and dry.
• Test door switch: Locate the door switch (usually in the frame). Press it manually and listen for a click. If there is no click or the interior light does not respond, the switch may be faulty.
• Temporary test: With power on, press and hold the switch; see if the ice maker symbol or function becomes available. If it does, the switch or its alignment is the issue.
• Replace switch if needed: Remove the switch from the cabinet (usually by prying gently or removing a screw) and replace it with a genuine Liebherr door switch.
