How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before touching moving parts. Do not operate with covers removed.

Identify noise source: Listen carefully to determine if the noise comes from the rear (compressor/fan) or front/top (harvest area).
Check fan assembly: Inspect the condenser fan for loose blades or contact with the shroud. Tighten or reposition as needed.
Compressor mounts: Verify that rubber grommets under the compressor are intact and that mounting bolts are snug but not overtightened.
Harvest area: Remove the front cover and look for ice chunks or foreign objects in the sweep arm or ejector. Clear obstructions carefully.
Replace noisy motor: If the fan motor or harvest motor is the source of persistent grinding or squealing, replace the motor.

Ice maker is very noisy during operation (grinding, rattling, or buzzing).
