Safety first: Turn off water and unplug the unit before disconnecting hoses.

  • Confirm water supply: Make sure the household shutoff valve is fully open and the building water supply is on.
  • Inspect hose routing: Pull the unit out and check that the water line is not kinked or crushed.
  • Clean inlet screen: Disconnect the water line at the back of the unit and rinse the inlet screen to remove sediment.
  • Test inlet valve: With the unit unplugged, measure coil resistance on the water inlet valve. Replace the valve if the coil is open or if it does not open when energized during a fill cycle.
