• Inspect bin arm/sensor: Check for broken or disconnected bin arm or sensor components.
• Test sensor function: Manually actuate the bin arm or block the optical sensor and see if the unit stops (with appropriate safety precautions). If it does not, the sensor may be faulty.
• Check wiring: Look for shorted or pinched wires between the sensor and control board.
• Replace sensor or board: Replace the ice level sensor if defective. If a known‑good sensor does not correct the issue, the control board may need replacement.
