Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before removing the control panel.

Dry the panel: If condensation or spills occurred, allow the panel to dry completely.
Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the front bezel and carefully disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the keypad and main board.
Inspect for damage: Look for corrosion or cracks on the control PCB. If present, replace the user interface assembly.
Test operation: After reassembly, plug in and test each button. Replace the keypad if unresponsive.

Unit powers on but buttons do not respond or respond intermittently.
