Possible Causes

Blocked or dirty bin level probe, Misaligned bin switch or infrared sensor, Failed bin level control board, Damaged bin probe wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power. Remove ice from the bin area where you will be working to avoid falling ice.

Steps:

  • Identify bin level system: Manitowoc uses different bin controls: mechanical bin switches, ultrasonic sensors, or infrared bin level probes depending on model. Refer to your model’s manual.
  • Clean sensors: For infrared or ultrasonic bin level probes, gently clean the lenses or faces with a soft cloth and mild soap solution. Remove any ice, frost, or mineral deposits.
  • Check alignment: Ensure the emitter and receiver (for IR systems) are aligned and not bent or blocked by ice or bin liners.
  • Inspect mechanical switch: If your unit uses a mechanical bin switch, verify the actuator arm moves freely and clicks the switch. Replace if sticking or not actuating.
  • Check wiring and connections: Follow the bin control wiring to the main control board. Reseat connectors and inspect for damage.

When to replace: If cleaning and alignment do not resolve E07, replace the bin level control / bin switch assembly appropriate to your Manitowoc model.
