How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and close the water supply valve. Have towels ready for any residual water.

Steps:

Check water supply: Verify the shutoff valve is fully open and that there are no kinks in the supply line. Confirm adequate water pressure.
Clean inlet screen: Disconnect the water line at the inlet valve on the Manitowoc unit. Remove and clean the small screen filter inside the valve using a brush and water.
Test valve coil: With a multimeter, check the resistance of the water inlet valve coil. An open coil indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
Observe fill behavior: After reassembly and restoring power, watch the fill cycle. If the valve does not open or does not shut off, replace the water inlet valve.

Note: If the valve is working but the machine still misreads water level, inspect the water level probe or sensor as well.

E12 displayed, unit may not fill with water or may overfill.

Possible Causes
