Safety first: Disconnect power. Be cautious of falling ice when working around the curtain or door.

Steps:

• Inspect water curtain: On Manitowoc models with a water curtain, ensure it swings freely and is not obstructed by ice buildup or bin contents.
• Check switch operation: Locate the curtain or door switch (mechanical or magnetic). Manually operate the curtain/door and listen for a click or use a meter to verify switch closure.
• Clean and realign: Remove any scale or debris from the curtain hinges. Adjust the switch or magnet so that it actuates reliably when the curtain/door moves.
• Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the switch to the control board for damage and reseat connectors.

Repair: Replace the curtain / bin door switch or the curtain assembly if broken or warped.
