Possible Causes
Unit not level, Missing or damaged leveling feet, Loose compressor mounting, Hard copper lines touching cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before moving or lifting the unit. Use proper lifting techniques or assistance.
Steps:
- Level the unit: Use a bubble level on top of the Manitowoc ice maker. Adjust the leveling feet until the unit is level front‑to‑back and side‑to‑side.
- Check feet and pads: Ensure all leveling feet are intact and in contact with the floor. Add vibration‑absorbing pads if the floor is uneven or resonant.
- Inspect compressor mounts: Remove the service panel and verify the compressor mounting grommets are intact and bolts are snug but not overtightened.
- Isolate copper lines: If refrigerant lines are touching the cabinet, gently reposition them and add foam insulation or clips to prevent metal‑to‑metal contact.
