Possible Causes

Failed evaporator fan motor, obstructed fan blade, ice buildup around fan, wiring issue to fan

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before working inside the cabinet.

Steps:

  • Remove the ice bin and any interior panels covering the fan area (often at the rear or side of the ice compartment).
  • Inspect the fan blade for ice buildup, debris, or anything that could block rotation. Clear any obstructions.
  • Spin the fan blade gently by hand. If it does not spin freely or feels rough, the motor may be failing.
  • Check the wiring harness to the fan motor for damage or loose connectors.
  • Restore power briefly and observe whether the fan runs when the unit is in a freeze cycle. If it does not run and has proper voltage at the connector, replace the evaporator/cabinet fan motor with a Marvel‑approved part.
  • Reassemble panels, restore power, and verify that airflow is restored and that E11 clears.
