Possible Causes

Failed recirculation pump motor, blocked pump inlet, kinked circulation tubing, wiring or control issue

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power and shut off water before servicing the pump.

Steps:

  • Remove the ice bin and interior panels to access the water reservoir and circulation pump assembly.
  • Inspect the pump inlet screen for debris, scale, or slime. Clean thoroughly with warm water and a soft brush.
  • Check the circulation tubing for kinks or blockages and correct as needed.
  • With the unit still unplugged, try spinning the pump impeller (if accessible) with a small tool. If it is seized, the pump likely needs replacement.
  • Reconnect power briefly and listen for the pump when the unit calls for a freeze cycle. If the pump does not run and has proper voltage at its connector, replace the circulation pump with a Marvel‑specified part.
  • After replacement, ensure all hoses are securely clamped and there are no leaks. Restore power and verify that water now flows evenly over the evaporator plate.
