Steps:

• Pull the unit slightly out from the cabinet and remove the rear or bottom access panel.
• Identify the source of the noise by listening carefully while the unit runs (keep hands clear of moving parts and live wiring).
• If the compressor is humming loudly and vibrating, check that its mounting grommets are intact and that copper lines are not touching the cabinet. Adjust and add insulation where needed.
• If the circulation pump is the source, inspect for debris in the pump and ensure it is mounted securely. Replace the pump if the motor is excessively noisy.
• Tighten any loose screws or brackets that may be causing resonance.
