Safety: Disconnect power before working on the drain system.

Steps:

Locate the drain outlet inside the bin or reservoir and ensure it is not blocked by ice or debris. Clear any obstruction.
Follow the drain hose from the unit to the household drain. Check for kinks, sags, or clogs. Clean or replace the hose as needed.
If the unit uses a drain pump, listen for pump operation when the unit should be draining. If silent or just humming, test and replace the pump.
Ensure the drain hose has proper slope and is not routed upward, which can trap water.
After clearing the drain, pour a small amount of water into the bin or reservoir and confirm it drains away quickly.
