Ice cubes or nuggets are too small or thin

Safety first: Disconnect power and water before disassembly.

• Check water level: Inspect the reservoir during operation. If low, clean the water level float and ensure proper operation.
• Clean distribution tube: Remove and clean the water distribution tube or spray bar to ensure even water flow over the evaporator.
• Adjust thickness: If your Maytag model allows, slightly increase the ice thickness setting per the manual.
• Inspect inlet valve: Clean the inlet screen and replace the valve if flow remains weak.
