Ice maker is very noisy during operation (grinding, rattling, or buzzing)

Safety first: Unplug the unit before tightening or touching moving parts.

• Identify noise source: Remove the front and rear panels and run the unit briefly to locate the noise (keep hands clear).
• Tighten hardware: Tighten loose screws on panels, compressor mounts, and internal brackets.
• Inspect fans: Check fan blades for damage and ensure they are not rubbing on shrouds. Replace bent blades or noisy motors.
• Check pump: If the noise coincides with water circulation, the pump may be failing. Replace the circulation pump if noisy or rough.
• Isolate compressor: Install or replace rubber grommets on compressor mounts to reduce vibration.
