E11 error; ice bin full indicator is on even when bin is empty, or machine stops prematurely

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before working inside the bin area.

• Locate bin sensor: Many Midea ice makers use an infrared sensor pair near the bin opening or a mechanical lever switch that detects ice level.
• Clean sensor lenses: If using IR sensors, gently clean the emitter and receiver windows with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Remove any frost or mineral deposits.
• Check alignment: Ensure the emitter and receiver are directly facing each other and not bent out of position.
• Inspect mechanical arm (if equipped): For lever-type sensors, verify the arm moves freely and is not stuck in the "full" position by ice or debris.
• Check wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the control board and reseat the connector.
• Replace sensor: If cleaning and alignment do not resolve E11, replace the bin full sensor assembly with a Midea-compatible part.
