Ice cubes are too small or hollow

Safety: Unplug the unit and close the water supply before servicing water components.

• Check water pressure: Ensure the supply line delivers strong flow. If pressure is low, correct plumbing issues or use a dedicated line.
• Clean inlet screen: Remove and clean the mesh filter at the water inlet valve to restore full flow.
• Descale evaporator: Run a full cleaning/descaling cycle to remove mineral deposits that can cause early harvest.
• Adjust thickness sensor: If your Midea model allows, follow the manual to slightly increase the ice thickness setting so the slab grows larger before harvest.
