Possible Causes
Loose condenser fan blade, Worn fan motor bearings, Vibrating panels or tubing, Failing circulation pump, Compressor mounting issues
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before tightening or touching moving parts.
- Identify noise source: Remove panels and briefly power the unit to localize the noise (keep hands clear). Then unplug again.
- Check fan assembly: Tighten the fan blade on the motor shaft and ensure it is not hitting shrouds or wiring.
- Secure tubing and panels: Use foam pads or zip ties to prevent copper lines and harnesses from rattling against the cabinet.
- Inspect pump: If noise coincides with water circulation, the pump may have worn bearings or debris. Clean or replace the pump as needed.
- Compressor mounts: Verify rubber grommets under the compressor are intact and not hardened or missing.
