Ice maker is very noisy during operation (grinding, rattling, or buzzing)

Safety: Unplug the unit before tightening or touching moving parts.

• Identify noise source: Remove panels and briefly power the unit to localize the noise (keep hands clear). Then unplug again.
• Check fan assembly: Tighten the fan blade on the motor shaft and ensure it is not hitting shrouds or wiring.
• Secure tubing and panels: Use foam pads or zip ties to prevent copper lines and harnesses from rattling against the cabinet.
• Inspect pump: If noise coincides with water circulation, the pump may have worn bearings or debris. Clean or replace the pump as needed.
• Compressor mounts: Verify rubber grommets under the compressor are intact and not hardened or missing.
