Ice maker runs but produces no ice at all

Safety: Unplug the unit and close the water supply before disconnecting any lines.

• Verify basics: Confirm the unit is switched on, not in standby, and that the ambient temperature is within the specified range in the manual.
• Check water supply: Ensure the shutoff valve is open and the inlet hose is not kinked. Test water flow by disconnecting the hose at the unit and briefly opening the valve into a bucket.
• Listen for compressor and fan: When powered, you should hear the compressor and condenser fan start after a short delay. If both are silent, suspect a control or compressor issue.
• Inspect for error lights: Some Midea models use indicator LEDs instead of codes; consult the manual for their meaning.
• Address obvious issues: Replace a clearly failed inlet valve or repair a kinked line. If the sealed system (compressor/refrigerant) is suspected, contact a refrigeration technician.
