Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Blown internal fuse, Faulty power cord, Failed main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always disconnect from mains before opening any electrical compartment.
- Check outlet: Test the wall outlet with another appliance to confirm power is present.
- Inspect cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks in the power cord. Replace if damaged.
- Reset breaker: Reset any tripped breakers or GFCI outlets supplying the ice maker.
- Internal fuse: Some Midea models have an internal fuse on the main PCB. If you are comfortable, remove the control cover and visually inspect/ohm the fuse. Replace only with the same rating.
- Board replacement: If power is present at the cord but the unit remains dead, the main control board may have failed and should be replaced by a technician.
