Ice maker will not start, power icon flashing on Miele ice maker or freezer display

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains power (unplug or switch off circuit breaker) before removing any panels.

Steps to check:

• Verify wall power: Plug a lamp or meter into the same outlet to confirm 120/230 V supply. Reset the breaker if tripped.
• Inspect power cord: Check the Miele power cord for cuts, burns, or kinks. If damaged, do not use the appliance until the cord is replaced.
• Access power module: Remove the rear or top service panel (depending on model). Locate the Miele mains power module (often near the cord entry).
• Check connections: Confirm all plug connectors on the power module and harness to the user interface are fully seated and not heat-damaged.
• Check internal fuse (if accessible): Some Miele power modules have a board-mounted fuse. If visibly blown and you are qualified, replace with the exact same rating; otherwise, have a technician replace the module.
• Reassemble and test: Restore power and see if the error clears. If F01 returns, the power module or user interface board likely needs replacement.
