How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before working near moving parts.

Check for airflow: With the door closed and unit running, you should feel cold air near the ice maker vents. If not, suspect the fan.
Inspect fan area: Remove the interior panel covering the fan. Look for ice buildup around the blades. If present, defrost the area completely and check door gaskets for air leaks.
Spin test: With power off, spin the fan blades by hand. If stiff or seized, replace the fan motor.
Electrical test: With power on and a call for cooling, measure voltage at the fan connector. If voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the fan motor. If no voltage, suspect the control board.
Reassemble: After repair, ensure all panels and seals are correctly reinstalled to maintain proper airflow.

Warning: Never insert fingers or tools into a running fan.
