Advertisements
Possible Causes
Unit not level, Loose compressor mounting grommets, Refrigerant lines touching cabinet, Loose internal panels near ice maker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before reaching behind or under the appliance.
- Level the unit: Use a spirit level and adjust the front leveling feet until the appliance is stable and does not rock.
- Check compressor mounts: Access the rear and inspect the rubber grommets holding the compressor. Replace if cracked or missing.
- Isolate tubing: Ensure refrigerant lines are not touching the cabinet walls. Gently bend them away and insert foam spacers if needed.
- Tighten panels: Tighten any loose screws on rear and internal panels near the ice maker that may rattle.
Note: A slight vibration is normal, but it should not cause loud rattling or movement of nearby objects.
