Possible Causes

Stuck crusher solenoid, Broken or misaligned cube/crush selector, Faulty dispenser control switch, Ice buildup around crusher mechanism

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before working in the dispenser area.

  • Clear ice buildup: Remove the ice bin and clear any ice lodged around the crusher blades and selector gate.
  • Inspect selector: Check the cube/crush selector lever or mechanism for free movement. Lubricate only with food-safe silicone if specified by Miele.
  • Check solenoid: Locate the crusher solenoid and verify that its plunger moves freely when manually actuated. Replace if stuck or burnt.
  • Test switch: Use a multimeter to test the selector switch for proper continuity in each position. Replace if faulty.

Note: Some Miele models do not offer both cube and crush; verify your model's capabilities.
