Miele
Reduced Ice Production Rate
Miele ice maker makes ice very slowly, production significantly below normal

Possible Causes
Freezer temperature set too warm, Dirty condenser coils reducing cooling efficiency, Ice compartment fan partially failing, Door gasket leaking warm air
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before cleaning coils or working near moving parts.
- Check temperature setting: Ensure the freezer is set to the manufacturer-recommended setting. Lower the temperature slightly if needed.
- Clean condenser: Pull the unit out and clean the condenser coils with a soft brush and vacuum. Blocked coils reduce overall cooling capacity.
- Inspect door seals: Close a sheet of paper in the door and pull; if it slides out easily, the gasket may be leaking. Replace damaged gaskets.
- Verify fan operation: Listen for the ice compartment and condenser fans. If either is weak or intermittent, replace the faulty fan.
Note: After improvements, monitor ice output over 24–48 hours.
