Possible Causes
Ice maker turned off in settings, Water supply valve closed, Ice maker module failure, Ice compartment too warm
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close the water supply if you need to remove panels.
- Check settings: On the Miele control panel, ensure the ice maker function is enabled and not in vacation or Sabbath mode.
- Verify water supply: Confirm the external shutoff valve is open and the supply line is not kinked.
- Check temperature: Use a thermometer to verify the freezer/ice compartment is at or below the recommended temperature (typically -15°C to -18°C). Adjust settings if too warm.
- Inspect ice maker module: Look for obvious damage, ice jams, or disconnected wiring. If the module never cycles and all other conditions are correct, the ice maker assembly may need replacement.
Note: After restoring water and correct temperature, allow up to 24 hours for full ice production to resume.
