Miele ice maker will not start after being turned off for cleaning or vacation

Safety: No internal high-voltage work is required for basic checks.

• Enable ice maker: Use the control panel to ensure the ice maker is switched on and not in any energy-saving or vacation mode.
• Prime water line: If possible, run water through the line or dispenser to purge air.
• Power reset: Disconnect power for 5 minutes, then restore to force a fresh initialization.
• Check fill tube: Inspect the fill tube for ice blockage and defrost gently if needed.

Note: Allow several hours for the first batch of ice after reactivation.
