Possible Causes

Defective water inlet valve coil, Blocked inlet filter screen, Kinked or frozen water supply line, Low household water pressure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and close the water supply valve before working on the water circuit.

Steps:

  • Check water supply: Ensure the tap feeding the ice maker is fully open. Disconnect the supply hose at the rear and briefly open the tap into a bucket to confirm strong flow.
  • Inspect hose and filter: Straighten any kinks in the hose. Remove and clean the small mesh filter at the inlet valve if clogged with debris.
  • Check for freezing: If the unit is installed in a cold area, inspect the inlet tube inside the cabinet for ice blockage. Gently thaw with warm (not hot) air or by turning the unit off and letting it defrost.
  • Test inlet valve coil: With power off, disconnect the valve connector and measure coil resistance. An open circuit or burnt smell indicates a failed valve.

Resolution: If water supply is good and the valve coil is defective or stuck, replace the Neff water inlet valve assembly. Ensure all joints are watertight after reassembly.
