Possible Causes

Defective touch control PCB, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Cracked control fascia

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.

Steps:

  • Dry the panel: If condensation or spills occurred, leave the unit powered off with the door open for several hours to dry the control area.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front control panel and check the flat cable connection to the main board. Reseat both ends carefully.
  • Check for damage: Look for corrosion, burnt spots, or cracked solder joints on the UI PCB.
  • Test operation: Reassemble and restore power to see if E14 clears and buttons respond.

Resolution: If the fault persists, replace the user interface module or complete control panel assembly as supplied by Neff.
