Possible Causes
Failed ice ejector motor, Stripped drive gears, Ice jam in ejector fingers, Faulty limit switch on ejector mechanism
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working near moving parts.
Steps:
- Inspect ejector: Open the ice compartment and look at the ejector fingers or rake. Remove any clumped ice or obstructions.
- Manual movement: Gently move the ejector arm (if possible) to feel for binding or broken gears.
- Check switches: Some Neff designs use a micro‑switch to detect home position. Inspect for broken actuators or loose mounting.
- Electrical test: With power off, test the ejector motor for continuity and check wiring back to the control board.
Resolution: Replace the ice maker ejector motor assembly or complete ice maker module if mechanical damage is found or the motor is open.
