Possible Causes
Sticking water inlet valve, Incorrect water pressure, Control board timing error, Partially blocked inlet screen
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water before servicing the inlet system.
Steps:
- Clean inlet screen: Remove the supply hose and clean the mesh filter at the valve.
- Check pressure: Confirm that water pressure meets Neff's minimum requirement (typically 0.15–0.8 MPa). Very high pressure may cause overfill; very low causes underfill.
- Observe fill: After reassembly, restore power and watch a fill cycle. If water continues to flow after the valve should close, the valve is sticking.
- Reset control: Perform a power reset to clear any temporary timing fault.
Resolution: Replace the water inlet valve if it does not shut off cleanly or if E17 recurs despite correct pressure and clean filters.
