Ice has a bad taste or odor

Safety: No electrical work required.

Steps:

• Discard old ice: Empty the bin completely and wash it with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
• Clean interior: Wipe the ice compartment surfaces with a baking soda solution (1 tablespoon per liter of warm water), then dry.
• Replace filter: If fitted and older than recommended, install a new water filter.
• Food storage: Ensure strong‑smelling foods are sealed and not stored near the ice compartment if shared with a freezer.
