  • Inspect condenser fan: Verify the fan spins freely by hand. Look for debris blocking the blades. With power briefly applied, confirm the fan runs when the compressor is on. Replace the fan motor if it does not run.
  • Check ambient temperature: Very hot rooms can cause overload. If possible, relocate the unit to a cooler area.
  • Reset and test: After cleaning and ensuring airflow, let the unit sit unplugged for 30 minutes to allow the compressor overload to reset. Plug in and monitor operation.
