ADD WATER
Display shows “ADD WATER” or water indicator light is on; unit stops making ice.
Low Water Level Condition
CLEAN
“CLEAN” indicator or code appears; unit may still run but ice quality is poor or production is reduced.
Maintenance / Descale Reminder
E1
Ice maker stops and displays E1; unit may not power the compressor or fan, interior stays warm, no ice production.
Cabinet Temperature Sensor (Thermistor) Fault
E10
E10 error; unit may freeze but not harvest properly, or ice thickness is inconsistent.
Ice Thickness Sensor / Probe Fault
E2
Display shows E2 and the ice maker stops mid-cycle; ice may partially form but harvest does not complete.
Ice Full / Bin Level Sensor Fault
E3
E3 appears on the display; unit may run briefly then shut down, or never start the ice-making cycle.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor Fault
E4
E4 error displayed; unit may stop during harvest or fail to release ice from the evaporator plate.
Defrost / Harvest Sensor or Switch Fault
E5
E5 appears and the unit stops; compressor may not start or may shut off quickly.
Compressor Overload / High Temperature Protection
E6
E6 error displayed; unit may fill with water but never freeze, or may not start the cooling cycle at all.
Compressor Start / Power Drive Fault
E7
E7 displayed; unit may stop mid-cycle and drain water unexpectedly or fail to hold water in the reservoir.
Water Level Sensor / Float Switch Fault
E8
E8 error; unit may not pump water to the evaporator tray, or may time out during the fill stage.
Water Pump Circuit Fault
E9
E9 displayed; unit may overfill or underfill with water, causing poor ice formation or overflow.
Water Inlet Control / Fill Time Fault
H1
Display shows H1 or “HI”; unit may shut down or produce very little ice in a hot room.
High Ambient Temperature Protection
ICE FULL
Display shows “ICE FULL” or ice full indicator light is on even when the basket is empty; unit will not start a new cycle.
False Ice Bin Full Detection
L1
Display shows L1 or “LO”; unit may not start or may run erratically in a very cold room.
Low Ambient Temperature Protection
Symptom
Buttons are hard to press or stick, and some functions do not engage unless pressed very firmly.
Mechanical Button Wear / Contamination
Symptom
Display is blank or very dim, but the unit still runs and makes ice.
Display Backlight / UI Power Issue
Symptom
Ice cubes are fused together in large clumps or sheets in the basket.
Ice Clumping in Storage Bin
Symptom
Ice cubes are very small, hollow, or melt quickly in the basket.
Poor Ice Quality / Incomplete Freezing
Symptom
Ice maker produces ice very slowly; ice cycles take much longer than normal and daily ice output is low.
Reduced Cooling Capacity
Symptom
Ice maker runs but makes no ice at all; fan and compressor may or may not run, interior remains warm.
No Cooling / Refrigeration System Failure
Symptom
Ice maker starts a cycle but stops during harvest; ice remains stuck to the evaporator plate.
Harvest Failure / Ice Sticking to Evaporator
Symptom
Unit displays lights or codes erratically, buttons do not respond properly, or settings change by themselves.
User Interface / Control Panel Malfunction
Symptom
Unit does not power on at all; no lights or display, completely dead.
No Power / Electrical Supply Failure
Symptom
Unit emits a burning smell, hot plastic odor, or visible smoke.
Overheating / Electrical Burning
Symptom
Unit frequently shuts off by itself before the bin is full, without any error code.
Premature Shutdown / Nuisance Stopping
Symptom
Unit has a strong moldy, musty, or chemical odor that affects the taste of the ice.
Odor Contamination
Symptom
Unit makes loud rattling, buzzing, or grinding noises during operation.
Excessive Operational Noise
Symptom
Unit overflows water from the reservoir or tray during operation.
Overfilling / Water Overflow
Symptom
Unit powers on but will not start ice-making; only lights are on, no fan or compressor noise.
Control Board or User Interface Lockout
Symptom
Unit runs continuously without cycling off, even when the bin is full of ice.
Ice Level Control Failure
Symptom
Unit trips the household breaker or GFCI outlet when it starts or during operation.
Ground Fault or Overcurrent Condition
Symptom
Unit vibrates excessively or “walks” on the counter during operation.
Excessive Vibration
Symptom
Water appears inside the cabinet where it should not be, such as under the evaporator or around internal wiring.
Internal Water Leak / Drainage Failure
Symptom
Water does not circulate over the evaporator; reservoir is full but the ice tray remains dry.
No Water Circulation
Symptom
Water leaks from the bottom or back of the ice maker onto the counter or floor.
External Water Leak
