Possible Causes
Room temperature above design limit, Blocked ventilation around cabinet, Overheated condenser section
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before moving it. Avoid placing it near stoves or direct sunlight.
Steps to resolve H1/HI:
- Check room temperature: Ensure the ambient temperature is within NewAir’s specified range (often 50–90°F / 10–32°C). Move the unit to a cooler area if needed.
- Improve airflow: Provide adequate clearance on all sides and above the unit. Do not enclose it in a cabinet unless it is an undercounter model designed for built-in use.
- Clean condenser: Remove dust from the condenser coils and fan as described in other entries.
- Allow cool-down: Leave the unit unplugged for 30–60 minutes, then restart.
Note: If H1 persists in a cool environment with good airflow, the temperature sensing circuit or control board may be faulty.
