Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between display board and main PCB, Corroded keypad connector, Failed user interface board, Faulty main control PCB communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.
Steps:
- Remove control panel: Carefully remove screws or clips holding the front control panel. Gently pull it forward to access the wiring.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Check the flat cable or harness between the display/keypad board and the main control board. Reseat both ends and ensure they are fully inserted.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or water intrusion behind the panel. Dry the area thoroughly if needed.
- Visual inspection: Examine the user interface board for burnt components or corrosion. Replace the board if damaged.
- Control board check: If a known-good interface board still results in E11, the main control PCB may be defective and require replacement.
Tip: Handle ribbon cables by the stiffened ends to avoid damaging the conductors.
