Ice appears cloudy or white instead of clear.

• Use filtered or distilled water: This reduces dissolved minerals that cause cloudiness.
• Descale evaporator: Run a descaling cycle with ice machine cleaner to remove mineral buildup on the evaporator plate.
• Adjust settings: If your Northair model allows, select a larger cube size or slower freeze setting to improve clarity.

Note: Some cloudiness is normal in many consumer ice makers and does not indicate a malfunction.
