Safety: Unplug the unit and shut off the water supply immediately to stop the overflow.

Steps:

Inspect float: Access the reservoir and verify the float moves freely. Clean any mineral deposits that may cause sticking.
Check sensor wiring: Ensure the water level sensor or float switch wiring is intact and securely connected.
Test inlet valve: With the unit unplugged and water supply turned on briefly, see if water continues to flow into the unit. If so, the valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
Control issue: If the valve only overfills when powered, the control board may be energizing it too long. Board replacement may be required.

Tip: Regular descaling of the reservoir and float mechanism helps prevent sticking.
