How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker before working on the control panel.
Steps:
- Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove grease and dirt. Do not allow liquid to seep into the panel.
- Access keypad: Remove the control panel and inspect the keypad PCB and overlay for signs of moisture or corrosion.
- Dry and clean: If moisture is present, dry thoroughly and clean contacts with isopropyl alcohol if accessible.
- Check connector: Reseat the keypad ribbon cable on the main PCB.
- Replace keypad: If buttons remain unreliable, replace the control panel/keypad assembly.
