Possible Causes
Empty or low water reservoir, Misreading water level sensor, Float stuck in low position, Scale buildup on level sensor components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the unit off and unplug before removing the reservoir or covers.
Steps:
- Refill reservoir: Fill the water tank to the indicated MAX line with clean, cold water. Do not overfill.
- Reset the unit: Plug back in, power on, and press the START/STOP button to resume operation.
- Check float movement: If the message appears even with a full tank, open the lid and locate the float. Move it gently up and down to ensure it is not stuck.
- Clean sensor area: Empty the tank and clean the float and sensor area with a mild vinegar solution to remove mineral deposits. Rinse thoroughly.
- Inspect wiring (if accessible): For models with an electronic level sensor, check that the sensor connector is firmly attached to the main PCB.
- Replace sensor if needed: If the warning persists despite correct water level and cleaning, the water level sensor/float switch may need replacement.
