Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between keypad and main PCB, Moisture ingress into control panel, Failed touchpad or button PCB, Faulty main control PCB interface

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before removing the control panel.

Steps:

  • Dry the panel: If the top panel has been exposed to spills or condensation, wipe it dry and let the unit sit unplugged for at least 1 hour to allow moisture to evaporate.
  • Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the top/front panel and gently lift it to expose the keypad PCB and ribbon cable.
  • Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable is fully inserted and locked into the connector on both the keypad board and main PCB. Reseat it if necessary.
  • Inspect for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on the keypad PCB or connectors. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush (with power disconnected).
  • Test buttons: After reassembly, plug in and test each button. If E10 remains and no buttons respond, the keypad PCB may be defective.
  • Replace faulty board: Install a new OBH Nordica-compatible control panel/keypad assembly if required.
