• Check water quality: Hard water increases scale buildup and can cause ice to stick. Use filtered or softened water if possible.
• Restart and observe: Plug in, start a cycle, and watch the first harvest. Confirm that ice cubes release cleanly from the evaporator when the tray or shovel moves.
• Persistent E8: If ice still sticks badly after cleaning, the hot-gas bypass or defrost function may be weak, or the control board timing may be faulty. These issues typically require professional service.
