How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before cleaning sensor components.

Steps:

  • Empty and reposition basket: Remove the ice basket, empty it completely, and reinstall it correctly in its guides.
  • Clean sensor windows: Locate the small sensor windows on each side of the ice basket area. Clean them gently with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Remove reflective items: Ensure there are no shiny or reflective objects (foil, metal tools) inside the basket area that could reflect the IR beam.
  • Check alignment: Verify that both sensor modules are firmly mounted and directly facing each other. Tighten any loose screws.
  • Test operation: Plug in and start a cycle. If 'ICE FULL' appears immediately, the sensor may be faulty.
  • Replace sensor assembly: Install a new OBH Nordica-compatible ice full sensor/IR board if cleaning and alignment do not resolve the issue.
