Possible Causes
Incorrect ice size setting, Faulty ice thickness sensor or timing, Ice not harvested frequently enough, Ambient temperature too low
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before adjusting internal sensors.
Steps:
- Adjust ice size: Use the SIZE button to select a smaller cube size and observe the next few cycles.
- Increase usage frequency: Empty the basket more often so ice does not sit and fuse together.
- Check ambient temperature: Avoid operating the unit in very cold rooms (below recommended range), which can cause overfreezing.
- Inspect ice thickness sensor: Some models use a metal probe or timing sensor near the evaporator. Ensure it is clean and correctly positioned according to the service manual.
- Service if needed: If cube size remains excessive regardless of settings, the control board or thickness sensor may require professional adjustment or replacement.
