Possible Causes
Unit not level on countertop, Loose compressor mounting bolts, Fan blades hitting wiring or housing, Ice shovel or tray misaligned
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker before tightening or moving internal parts.
Steps:
- Level the unit: Place the ice maker on a solid, flat surface. Adjust its feet (if adjustable) so it does not rock.
- Check external items: Ensure no objects are touching the cabinet and resonating with the vibration.
- Inspect fan area: Remove the rear panel and check that the condenser fan blades are not hitting wires or the shroud. Reposition any loose wiring and secure with cable ties.
- Check compressor mounts: Verify that the rubber grommets and mounting bolts on the compressor are intact and snug, but not overtightened.
- Inspect ice shovel/tray: Open the lid and ensure the shovel or tray is properly seated on its shaft and not rubbing against the cabinet.
