Faulty START/STOP button, Stuck safety interlock (lid switch), Control board logic error, Ice full or add water sensor falsely triggered
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
Steps:
- Check indicators: Ensure the 'ADD WATER' and 'ICE FULL' indicators are not lit. If they are, resolve those conditions first.
- Confirm lid closure: Some OBH Nordica models have a lid switch; make sure the lid is fully closed and not obstructed.
- Power-cycle: Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then plug back in and try again. This can clear minor control glitches.
- Test button response: If the display does not react when pressing START/STOP, the button or keypad PCB may be faulty.
- Inspect keypad connection: Remove the control panel and reseat the ribbon cable between the keypad and main PCB.
- Replace keypad or PCB: If the button still does not register, replace the control panel/keypad assembly. If that fails, the main PCB may need replacement.
