Possible Causes
Empty water reservoir, Stuck or scaled water level float, Faulty water level sensor switch, Mis-seated water tank (on removable-tank models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the unit off before removing the water tank or internal parts.
Steps:
- 1. Refill reservoir: Fill the water tank or internal reservoir with clean, cold water up to the indicated MAX line. Avoid using sparkling or flavored water.
- 2. Reseat removable tank: On Princess models with a detachable tank, ensure it is fully seated and locked into place so the level sensor can read correctly.
- 3. Clean float and sensor: Remove the ice basket and access the reservoir. Locate the float or level sensor. Clean off limescale or debris with warm water and a soft cloth so it can move freely.
- 4. Check float movement: Manually move the float up and down; it should move smoothly without sticking. If it is waterlogged or cracked, replace the float assembly.
- 5. Inspect wiring: Verify the water level switch wiring is intact and the connector is firmly attached to the control board.
