Princess ice maker shows CLEAN or cleaning icon and refuses to start a normal ice cycle.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always follow the cleaning instructions in the Princess manual. Use only food-safe descaling agents.
Steps:
- 1. Run cleaning cycle: Fill the reservoir with a mixture of water and approved descaler (or white vinegar if allowed by the manual). Press and hold the CLEAN button (or combination specified) to start the automatic cleaning program.
- 2. Rinse thoroughly: After the cleaning cycle, drain the reservoir completely, refill with fresh water, and run at least one full rinse cycle to remove any chemical residue.
- 3. Reset indicator: On many Princess models, the CLEAN message clears automatically after a full cleaning cycle. If not, press and hold the CLEAN or POWER button for several seconds as described in the user manual to reset.
- 4. Inspect for scale: While cleaning, visually inspect the evaporator plate, water tray, and pump filter for limescale. Gently remove heavy deposits with a soft brush.
