Possible Causes
Room temperature below design limit, Ice maker used in unheated garage or outdoors, Ambient sensor reading too low due to fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Avoid operating the ice maker in freezing conditions; water inside can expand and damage components.
Steps:
- 1. Move to warmer area: Relocate the Princess ice maker to a room within the recommended temperature range (usually above 10°C).
- 2. Allow to stabilize: Let the unit sit unplugged for at least 1 hour to reach room temperature before restarting.
- 3. Check sensor: If L1 appears even in a warm room, the ambient NTC sensor or its wiring may be defective and should be tested and replaced if necessary.
