Possible Causes
Faulty start button or touchpad, Stuck key on control panel, Loose control panel ribbon cable, Main PCB not recognizing start command
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
Steps:
- 1. Confirm mode: Ensure the unit is not in cleaning mode or paused. Check the manual for any lock or pause functions.
- 2. Try multiple presses: Press the Start/On button firmly several times. If it feels stuck or unresponsive, the switch may be worn.
- 3. Inspect control panel connection: Remove the top/front cover and reseat the ribbon cable between the control panel and main PCB.
- 4. Check for moisture: If the panel was recently cleaned with liquid, allow it to dry completely before retesting.
If the button still does not start a cycle, the control panel PCB or main control PCB may need replacement.
